About the Program
GlassCo is a captive insurance company established to provide glass replacement insurance on residential and commercial premises in the Province of British Columbia. The product provides free replacement of exterior plain glass windows and glass panels in doors at the insured premises.
Coverage applies only with respect to accidental breakage of glass or breakage caused by vandalism. The program was previously offered as an unlicensed product for over a decade; FSTOM now requires all glass repair and replacement contracts to be licensed insurance products, making GlassCo the compliant, purpose-built solution.

Exclusion: Interior Glass
Coverage applies to exterior glass only. Interior glass and non-structural glass panels are excluded.

This product has been successfully sold in British Columbia for more than 10 years, originally as an unlicensed insurance product. A regulatory shift by FSTOM now mandates that all glass repair and replacement contracts be structured as licensed insurance products.
